Choosing the right bong

It is recorded that bongs were used as far back as 2400 years. The traditional water pipe, airtight, collects heavier particles and water-soluble molecules, preventing them from entering the smoker’s airways and creates a smoother smoke. Choosing the right bong for your needs can really enhance your smoking experience. However this can be a challenge for new smokers or those who are accustomed to rolling their own smoke. Although it may appear that all bongs are the same, there are many difference that can alter your smoking experience. Lets dive into some important features, quirks and types of bongs to help you find your perfect piece.

Typically bongs are made of glass, acrylic or silicone and are used for dry materials. Bongs can be converted to rigs for use with oils and concentrates with the use of adapters and converters; however, if your looking for something that's made specifically for concentrates be sure to check out our Rigs category. Bongs can come in a wide variety of shapes, styles and colors and can have several different features from percolators and ice catchers to create a smoother smoke to fixed downstems, splashguards and bent mouthpieces to add to the functionality and style of your bong.
